A couple more Videogamebear cartoons I uploaded to my Videogame collection page. It's more about videogames than art but the account is still fairly popular.

VideoGameBear Fanart
This was very inspiring! My very first fanart for the VideogameBear from a young aspiring cartoonist, Mustafa Mohammed from London! I still dream of making my own comicbook but I think I'll keep uploading cartoons too.

Even more VideoGameBear comics
Still churning out Videogame Bear comics, I decided to make them a little simplier to make so my art can hopefully appear a little more frequently on Instagram. I can also focus my efforts on finally making my own book which is still a dream I've not given up on.

Even More Videogame Bear Comics
I'm still making single page comics related to videogames. Its fun thinking of ideas and most of the ones I've posted on my instagram gaming account have managed to gain a bit of a small following. I've not given up on my dream of making a complete story either.

VideogameBear Comics continued
Still trying to make my own comics, makes me realise I really want to try making something with a story, I think its time to start using more text and words.

VideoGameBear
Thought my blog was finally due another update. I've had a little bit of success recently by sharing my boring, nerdy opinions about videogames on Instagram. Feeling inspired I also uploaded some art to accompany my game page- the bear has become the videogame bear! I've even managed to sell a few art prints!
The account is still heavily focused on showing off a videogame collection, but I'm determined to turn that around this year and upload more drawings. If your interested in seeing it yourself, the account name is @VideogameBear, all art art related posts are under the RetroGameBear hashtag.

Drawing Trees
Thought my page needed an update so heres what I've been doing lately. I'm still approaching a few magazine editors and seem to get a lot of comments that I draw trees really well so I thought about making a comic with a fantasy setting. Heres a a few attempts from earlier this year:

Gold Key Comic inspiration
I've been getting a lot of encouragement to draw more comics lately (Bear comics in particular) and I want to give it another go.
I drew a lot of inspiration from Gold Key children's comics released in the 1960's which published a lot of comics based on popular television cartoon characters of the time (Flintstones, Hong Kong Phooey etc) So I wanted to go for a bit of a retro look:

New updates
Its been a while since I've updated my blog so I wanted to make a fresh start since its the new year at last! I've been busy with a couple of fun small projects such as greetings cards and calendars-
But really, I'd like to dedicate more time to making comic strips again- especially since I'm getting a lot of encouragement from people within the industry, I've already started on a few...

Treasure Hound
I want to start making more of my own comic-books and getting them printed out. Treasure Hound, a jungle adventure story I've wanted to make since Cambridge university, finally feels like its coming together!

The Apple Knight
I've been a bit busy lately but I've had the time to try revisiting one of my older characters I made during my southampton days. I've always wanted to try making a story about a little knight fighting monsters. Its mostly inspired from The Legend of Zelda and Noggin the Nog.
Theres no real reason as to why he wears an apple on his head, I was just trying to think of something slightly unusual to look at.

Frog Project
I'd like to make this into a four page comic sometime this year. Pretty good little goal to aim for at least.

Treasure Hound
So whenever I have a bit of free time, I like to draw a new page for my little adventure story, its based on the cartoons, movies & videogames I grew up with. Its currently 14 pages long- maybe I'll see it through to the end?

Some Prints
I've had a lot of exciting things going on lately, but its probably about time I updated my blog. I've made a few prints of some characters for fun and sold a few! I'd like to make more if people keep buying them!

Ryan Medlock Comix
I have kept a lot of unused characters/sequences from my time at Cambridge and I've always wanted to try making a comic-book full of them (something similar to the Beano I mean). There are at least seven different characters involved so far- each with their own four page short story and very little dialogue involved. I would like to develop more...
I have no idea if its going to work or not, but it has been a lot of fun to at least make a good solid attempt at it and finally start putting something together! (I've been thinking about it on and off for most of this year)

My Sketch Book Mid June/July
Its time for some new drawings- I honestly don't know if any of these are worth finishing- no real reason for them exsisting- its just something I doodle while I work on my Surrey Choices projects:
I may possibly have someone wanting to use this sparrow (robin?) on their website.
And Heres some I bothered to finish! everything is still an animal character but I still don't have a lot of 'female characters' which is a bit disappointing.
