Some Croco drawings

I've been further developing my croco idea- I want to make a short four page comic introducing the main characters to the story. I tried 'softening' up the character a bit to hopefully appeal to a slightly younger audience.
The original idea was a bit more scarier.

But now hes been turned into a bit more of a naive dork, who hunts for the many 'treasures' found in the swamp land.
With an overbearing mother.
Still very early days but I'd like to make the whole four pages for sometime in August to see how it turns out.

Colours/ Colors

I haven't posted on my blog for a while, so I thought I'd upload two colour tests I made last month- I tried using much brighter colours than my previous attempts and have been playing around with the different effects in photoshop. I still colour my work digitally and want to make it look as less 'photoshop' looking as possible. I think theres been a bit of an improvement lately:

I do still find colours a little bit of a chore… Drawing is easy and I've already got plenty of finished inked drawings- its just adding the colours! I need to try and find a way to be more efficient.
Theres already quite a big pile of black and white stuff I need to colour in….

Croco of the Swamp

I made a few pirate crocodile drawings. I needed a couple of images to show off to some potential clients. The character and the idea for his storyline have changed quite a bit-

I've been making more Bear comics, I really wanted to try making one page stories that are humorous from the drawings themselves and not by using any written dialogue.

Heres a few panels from more short stories I'm currently working on:

I really feel theres a lot of potential in this character.

Black & White Drawings

I completely forgot I had these drawings- I really love drawing in black & white.

Another one of my planned current projects is to make a black & white comic based a little on the old max fleischer cartoons and Noggin the Nog. I've wanted to make up a story about a pig knight for a pretty long time now.

The Crocodile Pirate

I have been developing some new characters besides the bear lately, at the moment I'm making a short four page comic about a crocodile pirate which I hope comic publishers will be interested in! Heres the rough first page:

I'd prefer to use as few words as I can and make the drawings and facial expressions as funny as possible.

Heres a couple of loose sketches:

A drawing a day...

Just giving you an example of how much I draw- Its pretty easy to fill up an entire A4 page of nonsense in a day- I thought I'd just upload a few of my unused doodles.
