Some Prints

I've had a lot of exciting things going on lately, but its probably about time I updated my blog. I've made a few prints of some characters for fun and sold a few! I'd like to make more if people keep buying them!

Ryan Medlock Comix

I have kept a lot of unused characters/sequences from my time at Cambridge and I've always wanted to try making a comic-book full of them (something similar to the Beano I mean). There are at least seven different characters involved so far- each with their own four page short story and very little dialogue involved. I would like to develop more...

I have no idea if its going to work or not, but it has been a lot of fun to at least make a good solid attempt at it and finally start putting something together! (I've been thinking about it on and off for most of this year)

My Sketch Book Mid June/July

Its time for some new drawings- I honestly don't know if any of these are worth finishing- no real reason for them exsisting- its just something I doodle while I work on my Surrey Choices projects:

I may possibly have someone wanting to use this sparrow (robin?) on their website.

And Heres some I bothered to finish! everything is still an animal character but I still don't have a lot of 'female characters' which is a bit disappointing.

The Great Outdoors

I really want to make more Bear comics. For now, I tried making a little sequence of the great Outdoors:

TV appearence

I had a recent TV interview for ITV news Meridian which they have kindly uploaded to their website.

To give you a better example of how obsessive I can be with drawing, heres some pages from my sketchbook I made last month.

Look hard enough and you can spot a special guest apparence drawing from Illustrator Eyizera Phoenix.

Made some little comics

Just felt like making some comics...  I was just feeling a little inspired from this article I read off the guardian:

I should probably learn to improve on my colours I think.

Hohum Comics

I've been a bit too busy drawing to update my blog recently- me and my writer friend Tom Masters are making some short four page comics together:

I'm trying my best to emulate the style of the old 'Gold Key comics'  which I think were from the 1960's. Theres just something really appealing about them to me. Heres an example:

I took this scan from this excellent blog here:
